You are right, you do need NMC registration and there are lots of on the dole nurses in the UK. As for the nursing degree being expensive, nursing students DO NOT pay tuition fees.

If in the UK you have pciked a penetrating time. There are lots of jobs requiring those sorts of skill due to the CRS / NPfit projects. Some would be in the NHS others in the contractors supplying . You could fit in to departments
