Where In Central London Can I Sit In The Sun And Have A Beer?

I'd like to invest the afternoon drinking and sitting in the sun, but there are so few pubs in central London that even have a beer garden, let alone one that isn't put in the tone by a large neighbouring building.

Any ideas or recommendations?

Answer: There is a noble place in a square in the Bloomsbury/Holborn area, just perfect, not to poncy and in a radiant place-can't recall it so I started a thread to get some ideas.

In destitution of a sun holiday! My boyfriend and I are thinking of taking a 7 day trip in late Feb. Where will it be warm enough to sit on the bank and get a tan? We thought about the Canary Islands? Any thoughts? :) THANKS!

Answer: The only LIdo I remember of is the one in Tooting, but I'm a West LOndon gal, so I'm not massively familiar with what's in your area.
If you don't mind travelling, why not go to Kew Gardens for a misfortune, and take a trip on the new treetop
