I Am Currently Looking For A Flat To Rent In London. Should I Let Them Know I'm A Couple?

Hi, I'm currently searching for a one or two bedroomed flat for me and my girlfriend. I have noticed that most rents seem to go up when you say your a three.
Is it wrong of me to say I am looking alone, can I be caught out, and is it illegal?


Answer: You should be square-dealing. They shouldn't charge more unless water, heat and electricity is included although it has been proven that two people don't use that much more.
Ask them why.

Answer: Depends on what your priorities for the belongings are. Gumtree and the classified sections will be the cheapest but will involve by far the most research and leg work. Benefit you need to be careful as there are no controls on who advertises there. For
