I have to allow, I purchased the CD of this construction of “Joseph and the Dazzling Technicolor Dreamcoat” most of all out of interference over Donny Osmond’s exhibit as Joseph. ”Joseph,” with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice, is a regularly pleasurable CD. The lyrics re-explain the plot of the biblical patriarch Joseph (found in Genesis 37-45), and Rice sticks remarkably sign to the origin research. “Joseph” has many inventive and droll touches (such as making the Pharaoh peach his part a la Elvis Presley, or having Joseph’s brothers crush out into a calypso long story). ”Joseph” works because of its union of a compelling legend, adroit lyrics, and classic music.
