All those old "terrace" houses, full of affect and damp, carpets (sometimes even in BATHROOMS!), wooden, rotten windows, 75% of London houses look like 3rd area slums. Why don't they demolish those ugly houses and build something more modern,

I am tough to understand Londoners views of Mews houses and whether they consider them characterful houses much sought after, or are they considered unimportant to normal street houses.
Please bear in mind mews houses can cost between £1million
Answer: They are very sought-after properties -- the prices you retell are all the evidence you need, really. =D
But yes, they are small -- and very expensive therefore in terms of £ per boxy foot.
