I barely came here to London from New York Monday morning, and I am shocked by how expensive everything is here, especially sushi, my favorite provisions. I was charged £16.50 for four small sushi rolls that would have cost me 1/4 of that in the States!
Answer: London is one of the most expensive cities on Terra and the reason why you paid a lot for your sushi is because here in UK the mark up between wholesale and retail is 100% as opposed to 50% [norm] in USA.

London is not expensive if you shop around. The only thing i do agree that is expensive is the cost of buying a gratis.
Answer: I entertain the idea people are under the impression that it is expensive because you tend to pay more for smaller portions.
