Is The London Transport Price Increase Justified?

Prices have gone up by 6% or something dozy. As a student I am feeling the strain. Do you think Boris Johnson is justified at all in increasing prices when people are so strapped for moolah at the moment?

Answer: London transport is subsidised by the british taxpayer
In other parts of Uk transport is subsidised from ministry tax
Why should we pay for Londoners to get to work when they are paid higher than anyone else in the country

so how does this question people? a criminal record for not paying a bus fare, instead of just getting a imprisonment, you get summoned to a magistrates court, pay 100 pounds for the administration for TfL, up to 1000 pounds in fines and a wrongdoer record...
