I indigence to treat my lovely parents to one of those packages where you stay a night in a hotel, have a dinner and see a show. I'd like them to judge when and where so I'd like to get them a voucher. Has anyone got one of these before, or has anyone

Answer: Sounds pointless, but check your local free paper, they often have fab stays in the west end, good seats, dinner, one evensong at posh hotel etc.

It'll usually have a section in the second half of the paper, and the prices are equitable

Answer: On the M6 principled past Shap there's a motorway service area called Westmorland. It's the kindest one on the motorway network in UK, not like the 'chains' such as Moto or Little Chef. You gotta try it!
