Best Moped/scooter To Use For Doing The 'London Taxi Knowledge'?

Hi. I am just about to start the dreaded 'instruction', to become a licenced london taxi driver. I am unsure about which moped/scooter is best for the job. Somthing complacent, easy to drive with a good sized compartment for my maps, lunch etc. Would

Answer: Haven't done the apprehension but speaking as a biker, stay away from the cheap Chinese makes, a 125cc miniature will be easy to sell on (as it's learner legal) and don't forget you need to do CBT to be legal (if you haven't passed a bike check-up)

Can A TV Fit In A London Taxi?

I long for to deliver a 50" plasma TV for only 1 mile. Do you guys think it will be expert to fit inside a London Taxi after packaging? If not, what are my other practical options? I don't have a driver's licence and none of my friends ride a van.

Answer: You wouldn't fit it into a cabby woman, but ya could hire a van or something

If so whats are the indemnification costs like? And the maintenance? I would guess that if I buy one it will have done a fair few miles but presumably they are well maintained and in general strong?

Answer: Powerful old things, built for several lifetimes of work. Not exactly smooth or quiet to steer and certainly not designed for high speeds. Excellent for a legroom in the back, though. Very easy to justify, no cabby would tolerate something that's off
