Also wondering what the properties here are like - I have seen totally a few ads for Victorian (?) terrace cottages, is that typical?

Answer: Greenwich is very warm, there are some very nice period houses,most quite large. There is also greenwich park..the marintine museum..the sunday call selling antques and all things imaginable..
Blackheath like greewich is a very sought-after area
