How Can I Plan A Day-trip To Edinburgh From London In Train And Really Make It Worth?

I´m a mexican tripper and I don´t know how British trains work.
Will I have time to enjoy Edinburgh? or it´s better leave behind it.
I'm thinking in a late November trip.

Our misstep will start from london to lake district, northumberland, york, and back to london. We will rent a car and drive all the way to it. How many hours does it take from london to lake section? How much will the petrol cost? and anybody knows the

Answer: I'm driving from only south of London to Edinburgh tonight.

From London, I plan to take the M40 to Birmingham, then the M6 toll to the M6 up to Carlisle, then the A/M74 towards Glasgow and when all is said taking the A702 into Edinburgh.

Would sweetheart to go to Edinburgh from London so would like best fare prices, either train or plane, thanks.

Answer: Yes I coincide with 'onelanrp' reply, its cheaper to fly, the train travel is far too long, far too risky , go into your search machine and look for , 'cheapest UK flights' you wont regret it!!
Rail travelling is a complete rip off!!!Keeplooking

I’d say London for New Year, and even if you don’t need to go out clubbing then you can always alert the show on the thames with the fireworks etc. Nightlife will be speculator in London, but more up-market. It’ll be enliven anyway, which is what you shortage for the New year. I’m not too fussed about Edinburgh but yeah, I’d say go here for xmas.
